LAC MTN. VIEW GROUP FITNESS CLASS DESCRIPTIONSWomen's Weights/Co-Ed Weight Training Class: All of our weight training classes are held in the LAC weight rooms & are lead by certified personal trainers. The trainers will set up a specific program for the group to follow during each class & assist each participant through their routine. (Offered Tues/Thurs 9am and Monday 4:30pm ) Morning Stretch: Stretching is enjoyable, simple to do & it improves both the quality of your workout performance & your overall quality of life. Stretching helps you lengthen & loosen muscles & joints, making tissues more pliable & boosting the flow of oxygen & nutrients to those areas. Our Stretching classes are great for all ages. Wear loose, comfortable clothing. (Offered Tues/Thurs 8am) Ultimate Frisbee: Take a mid-day break from work for a game or two of Ultimate Frisbee. This is a fast paced, challenging and very fun game of Frisbee with a little competition. Bring your running shoes and get ready for a great workout and lots of fun! It's a change of pace from the usual structured fitness classes- this is just time to play! You are sure to love it and WOW how time flies in this hour ! (Offered Mon/Wed/Fri 12:10pm) Total Body Fitness/Cardio/Sculpt- Steps, bands, fit balls, kickboxing & aerobics mixed up to push your workout each week. Lots of body work, body bars and abs will complete this class. (Monday 9:15am / Friday 9:15am) Kettle Bell-Often described as "cannonballs with a handle", they are used to develop strength, agility, endurance and balance bacause your entire body must be engaged to both lift them and then to control their swinging motion. Additional fees for these classes. (Tuesday 5:30pm / Thursday 5:30pm (Circuit class- 4wk on/2 off) / Saturday 10:15am) Jazzercise-Jazzercise is a 60 minute group fitness class combining cardio, strength, and stretch movements for a total body workout. With moves takeen from hip-hop, yoga, Pilates, jazz dance, kickboxing, and resistance training. (Monday & Wednesday 6:00pm) Aqua Classes: Water workouts aren't nearly as jarring to your joints & muscles as land aerobic workouts. You can burn up to 200 calories in 20 minutes while working out in the pool because the water provides up to 12 times more resistance than air. This means it is much more effective to do your toning in the water vs land. Our aqua aerobics classes are geared for all levels - beginners - triathletes. Don't be shy, come jump in the pool. (We offer 11 aqua classes per week. See complete aqua schedule for class times.) Spinning® Class: Spinning® classes are held in our studio located off of the gymnasium in the Mtn View facility & in the group fitness room at the West facility. In this indoor cycling class, participants visualize climbing hills, riding flats & racing on stationary indoor Johnny G. Spinners. Please reserve your bike up to 4 hours before your class by calling the front desk & get there 10 minutes early for special instruction if it's your first class. (We offer 13 classes per week at the Mtn View facility and 8 at our West facility, see complete Spinning schedule for all class times) Spinning® Sensations- This class is a quieter, calmer and less intense version of Spinning. Geared for those who want to work at a lighter pace while still Spinning through all the Energy Zones. All levels welcome. Tuesday/ Thursdays at 9:15am. * Spinning® Heart Rate Spinning® Classes: The instructor focuses on your individual heart rate. Classes offer various terrains & challenges working in different heart rate zones. A heart rate monitor is strongly encouraged. Strength and Power Ride Challenge: Through the use of various challenging profiles you will push your limists to increase your power on the bike. (Monday and Wednesday 9am) LAC'S YOUNG AT HEART PROGRAM:The LAC's Mountain View location offers a series group fitness class's gear for seniors, beginners or people just coming back to a fitness program after an injury. These classes are called "Young at Heart" & are noted on our master schedule with a heart. The classes are quieter, calm & gentle & lead by our most conscience instructors. We offer the following classes in this program: - Stretch: Tuesday, Thursday 8:00am

- Spinning: Tuesday & Thursday 9:15am
LAC WEST GROUP FITNESS CLASS DESCRIPTIONSFitness Yoga: This class is a combination of Yoga & Pilates based exercises. You'll practice a series of poses to strengthen your core & stretch your body. Wear loose, comfortable clothing. (Offered Tues 9:15am & 6:30pm/ Thursday 9:15am/ Friday 5:30pm) Step Class/Step Tone & Stretch: Using the Reebok steps, your instructor will lead you through challenging choreography for a great lower body workout. Your abdominal & arm workout comes at the end of the class, along with a great stretch. (Offered Thursday 5:30 and Saturday 8:30am) Boot Camp: You'll be ready to surrender after this hour of intense sprinting, jumping, pushups, obstacle courses & ab work. Each class is a little different while the instructor uses all of LAC West's group fitness equipment to wear you out. Be ready for lots of exhausting fun. (Offered Fri 9:15am) Spinning®: Participants visualize climbing hills, riding flats & racing on stationary indoor Schwinn Spinners®. Call the front desk to reserve your bike up to 4 hours before class. (Spinning classes offered Mon/Wed 6am, Tues/Thurs 12pm, Mon 5:30pm) Spinning® Heart Rate classes: Build your Aerobic Base and strength in this weekly Spinning® class. A variety of fun and challenging profiles will keep you engaged. ( Saturday 7:15am) Strength and Power Ride: Through the use of various challenging profiles you will push your limits to increase your power on the bike. (Wednesday 12pm) Cardio Body Blast: Try a different class every week! Could be step with Bender ball and gliding disc...Step/Weight Intervals with Fitball..Cardio Mix with Bosu Ball and Body Bars. Be up for a challenge! ( Wednesday 9:15am)
